A diving watch Made in Germany:
- Quality Made in Germany: all watches in the SEA GROUND 300 collection bear the Made in Germany seal of quality and are manufactured by our watchmakers at our headquarters in Würzburg, Germany. Only after an extensive quality control including water resistance test and rate test the watches leave our house.
- Automatic movement, caliber Seiko NH35: the robust quality movement NH35 from Seiko Instruments performs reliably in our diving watch. Despite its standard high accuracy, each individual movement is finely regulated by our watchmakers. The movement has an automatic winding in both directions, a power reserve of more than 41 hours, a second stop and 24 jewels.
- Double anti-reflective sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating: a sapphire crystal, unlike a plastic or mineral crystal, can withstand extreme stress. With a hardness level of 9, just like the natural gemstone sapphire, only diamond can boast an even higher hardness level. Therefore, the sapphire crystal is ideal to protect the watch glass from unsightly scratches. To achieve high readability, the sapphire crystal has been double anti-reflective coated with a blue anti-reflective coating.
- Swiss Super-LumiNova: the indexes and hands of the SEA GROUND 300 are equipped with SWISS SUPER-LUMINOVA luminous material in the "Old Radium" version from the Swiss company RC TRITECT AG. The highest quality luminous material on the market guarantees a high luminous intensity for many hours.
- Solid stainless steel bracelet with diving extension and double bow safety folding clasp: we have paid special attention to the quality of the bracelet in order to be able to wear the watch without problems even when diving. It is made of solid stainless steel and is equipped with a solid stainless steel buckle with safety clasp and double bow. To do justice to a diving watch, there is of course a diving extension that can be easily folded out so that the watch can also be worn over the diving suit.
- 300m/30bar water resistant: the SEA GROUND 300 is a classic diver's watch. And this is exactly what it was designed for. Due to the complex case construction as well as the screw-down crown and the screw-down, solid case back, we can guarantee a water resistance of 300m/30bar.

Sea Ground 300-005M - tolle Uhr zu einem fairen Preis
Ich war auf der Suche nach einer Automatik Taucheruhr im Stil einer Submariner o.ä. Da gibt es ja viel auf dem Markt und auch viel China Zeugs. Ich wollte aber durchaus etwas mehr Geld ausgeben ohne gleich eine Luxusuhr zu erwerben. Also bin ich nach einigem Suchen auf die Marke Gigandet gestoßen, bei der mich der Hinweis „Made in Germany“ neugierig gemacht hat. Also einfach auf die Website gehen, auswählen und bestellen. Bei 100 Tagen Rückgaberecht und einem aufgerufenen Preis von EUR 399,- kann man ja eigentlich nichts falsch machen. Ich habe die Sea Ground mit Alu Lünette und dunkelblauem Zifferblatt ausgewählt und bestellt. Sie kam nach 2 Tagen bei mir an, und ich war zunächst einmal sehr positiv überrascht von der Verpackung. Geliefert wird sie nämlich in einer sehr schönen Holzschatulle in Hochglanz Optik.. Manch eine Uhr, die dreimal soviel kostet, kommt da schon nicht mit. Vielleicht außen hui und innen pfui? Keineswegs! Die Uhr in die Hand genommen und festgestellt, dass sie sehr hochwertig wirkt und verarbeitet ist. Das Einstellen war kein Problem, genauso wenig wie das Kürzen des Armbandes. Was soll ich noch sagen? Sie passt perfekt, sieht toll aus und läuft auch nach einer Woche noch auf die Minute präzise, was ja gerade bei preisgünstigen Automatikwerken nicht immer zu erwarten ist. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und könnte mir vorstellen, auch weitere Uhren bei Gigandet zu ordern.

A coincidence? the story
For more than 30 years, everything for the founders Christian Schmitt and Hans Meeder has revolved around their passion WATCH. As chance would have it, Hans Meeder got his hands on a gift from his uncle from 1976, complete with the original invoice, at just the right time: it was a beautiful Gigandet sports watch with the design typical of the 1970s. The discovery did not let Hans Meeder go. Subsequent research revealed that Gigandet watches had disappeared from the market.
