A diving watch Made in Germany:

Quality Made in Germany: all watches in the SEA GROUND 300 collection bear the Made in Germany seal of quality and are manufactured by our watchmakers at our headquarters in Würzburg, Germany. Only after an extensive quality control including water resistance test and rate test the watches leave our house.

Automatic movement, caliber Seiko NH35: the robust quality movement NH35 from Seiko Instruments performs reliably in our diving watch. Despite its standard high accuracy, each individual movement is finely regulated by our watchmakers. The movement has an automatic winding in both directions, a power reserve of more than 41 hours, a second stop and 24 jewels.

Double anti-reflective sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating: a sapphire crystal, unlike a plastic or mineral crystal, can withstand extreme stress. With a hardness level of 9, just like the natural gemstone sapphire, only diamond can boast an even higher hardness level. Therefore, the sapphire crystal is ideal to protect the watch glass from unsightly scratches. To achieve high readability, the sapphire crystal has been double anti-reflective coated with a blue anti-reflective coating.

Swiss Super-LumiNova: the indexes and hands of the SEA GROUND 300 are equipped with SWISS SUPER-LUMINOVA luminous material in the "Old Radium" version from the Swiss company RC TRITECT AG. The highest quality luminous material on the market guarantees a high luminous intensity for many hours.

300m/30bar water resistant: the SEA GROUND 300 is a classic diver's watch. And this is exactly what it was designed for. Due to the complex case construction as well as the screw-down crown and the screw-down, solid case back, we can guarantee a water resistance of 300m/30bar.

A coincidence? the story

For more than 30 years, everything for the founders Christian Schmitt and Hans Meeder has revolved around their passion WATCH. As chance would have it, Hans Meeder got his hands on a gift from his uncle from 1976, complete with the original invoice, at just the right time: it was a beautiful Gigandet sports watch with the design typical of the 1970s. The discovery did not let Hans Meeder go. Subsequent research revealed that Gigandet watches had disappeared from the market. Her intuition for brands and her passion for timepieces, together with her experience in technology and sales, led her to the decision to revive the Gigandet brand. Her mission: to develop quality watches with character away from the masses - authentic lifestyle included.

The history of Gigandet

The company Charles Gigandet S.A. was founded in Switzerland after the 2nd World War. The distribution of the watches was successful mainly in the USA and Europe. Around 1970/80 the market for mechanical watches collapsed, due to the successful introduction of high quality quartz watches as well. As a result, Gigandet had to stop production and the company was abandoned...

No GIGANDET watch leaves our manufactory without the loving handwork and the scrutinizing eyes of our master watchmakers, as well as a detailed and final quality control.

We perform almost all types of repairs and tests on GIGANDET automatic watches in our master watchmaker workshop.

Sie haben ein älteres Modell unserer Uhren und möchten dieses gerne auf unsere neuesten Standards modernisieren lassen? Das ist kein Problem. So können wir bei ausgewählten Modellen der G300 Serie die Aluminium-Lünette durch eine Keramiklünette ersetzen. Frequently asked questions

Can the time setting ring only be rotated in one direction?

Yes.
The bezel is only unidirectionally rotatable. More precisely, it can only be turned to the left.

Can I just change the straps on your watches by myself?

Yes.
For our stainless steel bracelets, all you need is a small screwdriver to push the spring bar together at the case band joint and remove the bracelet
If you want to have a leather strap on your watch, you can install one of our many original leather straps with an easy-release function without any tools at all.

Can the watch also be wound by hand?

Yes.
To do this, you must loosen the screw connection. You can then wind the watch clockwise by hand. Afterwards, however, you should be sure to screw the crown back in correctly so that the water resistance is guaranteed.

Can I have individual adjustments on the watch with you?

Yes.
