A diver's watch with the new Swiss-Made calibre Newton P092 from the Swiss manufacturer Soprod:
- Swiss-Made Automatic Movement, Soprod, Calibre Newton P092: after several years of development, the Swiss movement manufacturer Soprod, based in Tramelan, has launched the new reference calibre NEWTON P092. The most striking technical difference to other automatic movements is the attachment of the balance to a balance bridge instead of a balance cock. This gives the movement a high degree of rate stability and is otherwise only found in much more expensive movements. Although our watches are already extremely accurate ex works, they are still finely regulated by our watchmakers.
- Quality Made in Germany: all watches in the SEA GROUND 3000 collection bear the Made in Germany quality seal and are manufactured by our watchmakers at our headquarters in Würzburg. The watches only leave our factory after an extensive quality control including a waterproofness test and a rate test.
- Double anti-reflective sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating: a sapphire glass, unlike a plastic or mineral glass, withstands extreme stress. With a hardness level of 9, just like the natural gemstone sapphire, only diamond can boast an even higher hardness level. Therefore, sapphire crystal is ideal for protecting the watch glass from unsightly scratches. To achieve high readability, the sapphire crystal has a double anti-reflective coating and a blue anti-reflective coating.
- Swiss Super-LumiNova: the indexes and hands of the SEA GROUND 3000 are equipped with SWISS SUPER-LUMINOVA luminous material in the "BGW9" version from the Swiss company RC TRITECT AG. The highest quality luminous material on the market guarantees a high luminous intensity for many hours.
- Solid stainless steel bracelet with diving extension, double bow safety folding clasp and screwed links: We have paid special attention to the quality of the bracelet so that the watch can be worn without any problems even when diving. It consists of solid stainless steel and is equipped with a solid stainless steel buckle with safety clasp and double shackle. To do justice to a diver's watch, there is of course a diving extension that can simply be folded out so that the watch can also be worn over the diving suit.
- 300m/30bar water resistant: the SEA GROUND 3000 is a classic diver's watch. And it was developed precisely for this purpose. Due to the complex case construction as well as the screw-down crown and the screw-down, solid case back, we can guarantee a water resistance of 300m/30bar.

A coincidence? the story
For more than 30 years, everything for the founders Christian Schmitt and Hans Meeder has revolved around their passion WATCH. As chance would have it, Hans Meeder got his hands on a gift from his uncle from 1976, complete with the original invoice, at just the right time: it was a beautiful Gigandet sports watch with the design typical of the 1970s. The discovery did not let Hans Meeder go. Subsequent research revealed that Gigandet watches had disappeared from the market. Her intuition for brands and her passion for timepieces, together with her experience in technology and sales, led her to the decision to revive the Gigandet brand. Her mission: to develop quality watches with character away from the masses - authentic lifestyle included.
